Teaching:
I began studying with Susan Klein in 1977, and started teaching daily class in 1983, continuing to do so, as well as traveling across the country, Europe and Scandanvia. I have been developing my own approach since 2001, being most influenced by the teachings of Susan Klein. Other influences have been Dorothy Vislocky and Dr. Fritz Smith.
I have had the honor of teaching dancers and choreorgraphers such as as Bebe Miller, Wally Cardona, Barbara Grubel, Neil Greenberg, Diane Madden, Rachel Thorne Germond, Stephen Petronio, Trisha Brown, Gerald Casell, Jeremey Nelson, Jeremy Laverdure, Fara Greenbaum, Johanna Hegensheidt and Karrine Jameson - a generation of dancers.
Mentoring:
I am passing forward my knowledge and experience of the body and teaching by mentoring students to teach. Among them are Jeremy Laverdure and Fara Greenbaum (NYC), Rebecca Milkman (Los Angeles), Rachel Thorne Germond (Chicago), and Rosy Simas (Mpls).
